Explore the Sisimiut Back Country on a ATV all-terrain vehicle. Sisimiut is one of the only towns in Greenland that has a gravel road which leads out of the town and approx. 10 km into the Back Country. We drive through the sled dog town over a small bridge which crosses the local river with crystal clear drinking water. From there we continue until the gravel road ends, from here we continue around to the small sites in the area. Before we got to the airport in 1998, the town had a gravel runway. We drive up too the landing strip from where we we have a beautifu view over the bay and the town before continuing back via the sled dog city. In Greenland, you must have a driving license to be allowed to drive an ATV, so if you do not have a driving license you can sit as a passenger.
